UAV Drone VOC Monitoring

Our UAV platform combined with the power of real time wireless monitoring provides for unparalleled opportunities.

Aretas Aerial has integrated the wireless Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) sensor from Aretas Sensor Networks along with its powerful online analytics software. This VOC monitor is a Photoionization sensor which has a measurement range of up to 10,000 ppm and a minimum of 1 ppb. The monitor records and transmits the VOC data from the UAV to a wireless adapter for instant online access.

Fly over a pipeline, grid search over a suspected contamination zone or gather valuable research data. Utilizing live data streams alongside pinpoint GPS and mapping software allows for fast and accurate monitoring.

Aretas Aerial have various VOC sensors that can identify a wide range of VOC and alert you if any of your facilities have issues, anywhere in the world. We offer the following VOC sensor ranges to meet you specific needs:

  COLOR RANGE MIN DETECTABLE QTY
  Green 10,000ppm 100ppb
  Purple 2,000ppm 50ppb
  Red 200ppm 25ppb
  Yellow 20ppm 5ppb
  Blue 2ppm 0.5ppb

Environment Canada reports that "VOCs include a variety of chemicals that can cause eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches, nausea, dizziness, and skin problems. Higher concentrations may cause irritation of the lungs, as well as damage to the liver, kidney, or central nervous system. Some VOCs are suspected to cause cancer in humans and have been shown to cause cancer in animals. The health effects caused by VOCs depend on the concentration and length of exposure to the chemicals." http://www.healthlinkbc.ca/healthfiles/pdf/hfile65d.pdf
